 Reversed back to get water. Was bloody cold first thing, so decided to do another night here.

Had a visitor in the form of a mandarin. All on its lonesome 😞

 Still at Fenny Stratford owing to catching up on a few essentials. Probably move on a bit tomorrow.

Simpson to Fenny Stratford

Cruised to Fenny Stratford on Tuesday, moored up, then had a flipping blizzard. Easter for Christ’s sake, and full on snow!

 

Bradwell to Simpson

 Needed coal, so leaving Bradwell headed to Pear Tree marina. Quite a slog as the water levels are really low, probably a good foot on normal.

Filled with water and collected a couple of bags of supertherm. Now moored at Simpson.

Cosgrove to Bradwell

Well, moved today, almost 5 miles! Quite busy with boats as well. Lots of rubbish on the canal in certain places and surprisingly shallow. The prop was constantly ploughing mud. Moored at new bradwell for the night and will probably move on again tomorrow.

So good to be moving again, albeit at a snails pace.

 

 Mooch around today. Getting a bit fed up being stuck in Cosgrove, hopefully can move on this weekend. What with COVID and winter combined, it’s been a bit of a crap winter.
