Wednsday 27th April 2022

Filled with water and set off again. Turned at winding hole Giffard Park and headed back down the GU.

Hopefully now be able to revert to the original cruise plan for this year.

Monday 25th April 2022

Moved from Pennyland to Giffard Park. New washing machine and batteries delivered.

New 48hr mooring up and running, but sadly being abused already by Canal and River Trust. This barge has been left here for over a week evidently, half on the facilities mooring, and most of the new 48hr mooring. Landlord of pub not impressed.

A question of do as I say, not as I do eh CRT? Pathetic.

Thursday 21st April 2022

Moved on to Fenny and stopped for a couple of nights, then Saturday 23rd, moved on again. Filled with water at Fenny lock. Cruised on again to just past Pennyland.

CRT have gone absolutey mental on new signage. I suspect hundreds of thousands of £££££ wasted on unecessary branding placards. Yet the towpath is collapsing in many places with water pissing out of the canal. CRT really are a waste of space and seriously need to be replaced, preferably being put back into government control.

Useless organisation.

Friday 15th April 2022

A quick trip to Slapton waterpoint, then headed back on Sunday.

The washing machine has packed up, which means a trip back to Fenny Stratford for a new one, not happy. Hopefully a quick delivery and back to the cruising plan.

Monday 18th

Beautiful weather, and lots of boats about. Good to see some sort of normality once again.

Cruise to Stoke Hammond, stop just above the lock for a night, move on tomorrow.

Friday 8th April 2022

Moved today. Filled with water, stocked up with shopping and managed to grab a mooring opposite the canoe club at Leighton Buzzard for a few days.

Nice to finally see some of the offside overgrowth cut back. Now we just need a dredging policy. Live in hope.
